Anglican Communion Timeline

Dear Friends,

I have posted a timeline of the Anglican Communion since the founding of the Episcopal Church shortly after the American Revolution to the present day, including a recent blow-by-blow of the current mess.

This was originally developed as part of our Lenten series at Church of Our Saviour.

Take a look at it here.

If you have thoughts for clarification, addition, or simple corrections in fact, please let me know. I see this as a living document.

Fr. Jake also has linked it from his place.

Richard, a tour de force, indeed. Thank you for putting this together. I found it quite helpful. I hope that your work will be used as a source by many in the media as they report news on the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion.

Superb summary. This will be an excellent resource -- reminds me of those great charts in the back of Bonnie Spencer's old "Ye Are the Body"!

Still have my copy of that one, Tobias...a bit worn, but the charts are still legible...never would have made it through Church history without them.

This is good work, Richard. Thanks. We're getting some postive responses from it.

BTW, aren't you supposed to be on vacation? Commence play, sir, at once!
