Faces of Compassion

For freedom for tyrrany, injustice, and poverty.
Buddhist monks remind us all of the power of non-violence.
May they be blessed with all that they hope for.

Amen, amen, amen!

The BBC has been giving excellent coverage, online, on the radio, and on television. This despite the fact that they are technically banned from reporting from within Burma. (As they are from Zimbabwe - the Beeb makes tyrants angry!)

The point which keeps coming up in their coverage is the impact of technology. Compared to the uprising & crackdown of 1988, we can see and hear quite immediately what is going on. People inside of the country are able to email eyewitness accounts, send photos from cell phones, call friends outside of the country with their stories.

One of the blessings of technology. May they also soon be blessed with peace and freedom.

Hey, both:

Thanks much for your concern. I hope to have time to post in the next couple of days. This Fall has been quite something -- good, bad, and ugly. Must be the witching hour. But I'm still here, and I've been watching goings on in the blogsphere with some interest. . .and occasional shock and horror, too!

God's peace,
